Juventus have made a strong bid for the head of their technical staff, but according to the paper, the club have no plans to hire a new coach.
A report by Italian sports daily El Pais claims that Juventus are willing to pay €15 million for Carlo Ancelotti, and the Serie A champions will be able to buy him at a discount.
According to the report, the Juventus president Giampiero Ventura has been approached by Ancelototti’s representatives, but the club are waiting to hear what kind of a price the Juventus board will offer.
Ancelotti’s contract is up after the 2016/17 season, and he has said he wants to leave the club and join Real Madrid.
It is believed that the bid for Ancelotteotti has been put forward by the former Barcelona coach, who has been linked with Real Madrid in the past.
The club are currently preparing for the 2018/19 season, with the summer transfer window due to open in the next few days.
